MEMBERSHIP & CLASSES

How early can I sign-up for a class?

You can sign-up for bootcamp, L.I.F.T., RIPPED and METCON30 classes one MONTH in advance.

When you purchase a specialty class, you are automatically signed up for each week of the session.

How does the waitlist work?

When a class is at capacity, a waitlist automatically opens for the class. You can put yourself on the waitlist, and be automatically added to the class as space becomes available.

Note: You will NOT be added to the waitlist for a class within one hour of the class start time. This policy is in place to ensure you have enough time to prepare to come to class, and avoid unnecessary late cancel and no show fees.

You can, at any time, remove yourself from the waitlist the same way you remove yourself from any other class. You can also add yourself back in.

What if I can't make a class I'm signed up for?

We understand that your schedule changes, and you may need to cancel a class. You can log-in to your MindBody Online profile at any time to cancel a class. Cancellations made within THREE HOURS of a class start time will be charged a $10.00 late cancel fee to the default debit/credit card listed in your account. EARLY RISER (5:30a) classes have an EIGHT HOUR late cancellation policy.

If you do not show up for a class you have reserved a spot in, you will be charged a $25.00 no show fee to the default debit/credit card listed in your account.

Does the gym cancel classes?

If a regular schedule class (not a Specialty Class), has fewer than three (3) clients enrolled, it will be cancelled due to low enrollment following the same time limitations as client Late Cancel Fees.

All regular schedule classes will be canceled due to low attendance THREE HOURS before class, except for early morning classes (5:30a and 6:30a), which will be canceled EIGHT HOURS before class starts.

Please also review our inclement weather policy.

NOTE: The Fitness Asylum reserves the right to cancel due to emergency or inclement weather outside of these times.

What is your inclement weather policy?

The Fitness Asylum makes every attempt to open during inclement weather. Unless the staff are physically unable to get to class, or the driving conditions become unsafe, we will open.

We do not default to the local school district's decision to open or close.

If we must cancel, we will often make the decision closer to the class time, but we do make every effort to give a minimum one hour notice.

You will be notified via email as well as text (if opted in) if/when we cancel classes. We will also post closures on our business pages.

Our LATE CANCEL/NO SHOW policies do not change due to inclement weather if we are open and running classes. If you are not comfortable driving to class in inclement weather, please remove yourself from class before the late cancellation window to avoid incurring fees.

Can I cancel or pause my membership?

A 30-day written notice is required for cancellations, and is subject to contract terms. Memberships can only be paused with a medical note from your physician, or for military leave.

For complete details about membership terms and conditions, or other questions, please contact support@fitness-asylum.com.

Do I need to sign a waiver or any other forms?

Yes, prior to attending your first class with us you will be asked to review and sign both our waiver, as well as our non-disclosure agreement.

Already signed up and haven't received a link to these forms? You can access and complete them by clicking here.

Can I bring someone with me to observe class?

Classes are reserved for paid members and class pass holders only. Members do receive guess passes annually, to be used for friends or family (age 13+) to take class.

We kindly ask that you do not bring a friend or relative with you to sit on-site during your class.

For more information about obtaining your guest pass, consult your Member Welcome document or contact support@fitness-asylum.com

What is your policy for arriving late to class?

If you arrive to class late, you will be instructed to wait in the waiting area, where you can observe the trainer's instructions for the set, and will be assigned to a place in class when the demonstration is complete.

If you arrive to a class after the trainer's demonstration has ended, you will not be permitted to take that class.

How do I update my credit card info in MBO?

To update your credit card information, please log-in to MBO on your computer desktop (the app will not save the card), using this link. You can update your saved credit card information in your account settings.

I have a question not listed here. Whom can I contact?

For complete details about membership terms and conditions, class sign-ups, or other questions, please contact support@fitness-asylum.com.

The Body Challenge FAQs

How much weight will I lose?

This depends of course. On average, weight loss ranges from 15-35+lbs. Some might join us for the last 5-10, some might join us to maintain their lost weight. We are here to help you with whatever weight loss goal you have.

When is kickoff? What if I miss kickoff?

We host in-person and virtual kick-offs prior to the meal plan starting.

The in-person kick-off is scheduled for Sunday, September 10, 2023.

The Kick Off meeting is a great way to get started, but we understand you might be away or have another obligation, so we do a Facebook Live video which stays recorded on our Private Page. You can still be successful if unable to attend.

Do you use any special food journals or software?

We host our program on an online platform that is free and easy to access on your phone, laptop, or desktop computer. We also provide online tutortials to reference to get up-to-speed. We know technology isn’t everyone’s strong point!

We also recommend optional online tools that are free, but none are required.

What if I am going on vacation during the program?

Missing time for a vacation, or business trip always happens, so no worries at all.
Life happens, and you are learning how to plan for success in this program. People travel, attend weddings, celebrate milestones, and so much more on this program. Your goals don’t have to take a backseat to your social life!

Is it normal to be afraid to sign up? (asking for a friend)

Very. We understand embarking on something new (or trying to lose weight again) is intimidating. We all fear failure and that is why our program is just as much on creating habits and establishing the right mindset as it is on the food.

The people who are successful with our program are not better than you, or smarter than you or luckier than you—all they did was take a deep breath- sign up and follow along.

We know you might be nervous but you are not alone. There will be many people ready to work right alongside you to help you be successful.

Can I do this program if I don't live in MA?

Absolutely! In fact, we have dozens of participants each season who live in other parts of the United States. From California to Florida to Maine – you can do this program from anywhere!

Do I need to workout with this program?

Working out at our gym or at all is not required. We do encourage clients to find activities they enjoy to stay active. It can be as simple as walking, but that is not a requirement for success. In fact, we have had many challenge participants who are on the mend from an injury and want to continue with their weight loss or maintenance goals.

If you are interested in working out (with us or at all), we encourage that, of course! And we have several options to get you started. Not local? Check out our On-Demand Video Bundle,  and bring The Fitness Asylum into your home.

IS THere an age requirement?

You must be at least 18 years old to participate in our nutrition programs.

What if I am going away on vacation during the competition prep?

Missing time for a vacation or business trip always happens, so no worries at all. You will need to plan and adapt– but it is definitely possible.

Can I do this program if I don’t live in Massachusetts?

Absolutely! This program can be done at home from anywhere in the world. You just need a computer and a Facebook account at a minimum.

How much weight will I lose?

This depends where you are starting from, of course! Some people join with 5-10lbs to lose, some people start of with a bigger goal.

On average weight loss for competition prep ranges from 15-35lbs.

Do I have to be on Facebook to join?

While we can’t MAKE you be on Facebook, we do use private pages to disseminate information and you will miss it if you are not on FB.

If you want, we are totally ok with you creating an alias. Our private pages are NOT visible to the outside world.

Are there are additional costs and fees not included in the price?

The competition team fee listed here includes coaching, as well as meal and fitness planning. This fee does not include your food and supplements, or gym membership. As with all competitive sports, additional costs do arise. You will need to plan for posing classes, which can be purchased through The Fitness Asylum. Additionally, not offered through The Fitness Asylum, you will be responsible for costs such as:

  • competition entry fees
  • competition bikini
  • competition shoes
  • competition hair and make-up
  • and additional competition-related expenses
Do you use any special food journals or software?

This meal plan is written out for you, and is also now accessible through the KAJABI mobile app.  No tracking necessary!

Do I need to use special Supplements or Protein Powders?

You do not!

Do supplements sometimes help? Yes.

Can protein powder be a convenience food- Yes. But neither are mandatory.

Our weight loss programs are about eating food, not buying supplements.

If I have food allergies and sensitivities can I still do this?

Absolutely. We want you to stay away from anything that does not agree with you.

Is it normal to be afraid to sign up (asking for a friend)?

Very.

We understand embarking on something new (or trying to lose weight again) is intimidating. We all fear failure and that is why our program is just as much on MINDSET as it is on the food.

The people who are successful with our program are not better than you, or smarter than you or luckier than you—all they did was take a deep breath- sign up and follow along.

We know you might be nervous but you are not alone. There will be many people ready to work right alongside you to help you be successful.

Are there age restrictions?

Yes, we do not accept competitors under 18 years old.

You are never, however, too “old” to do this program.

WhEN ARE THE COMPETITION DATES?

Each season brings SEVERAL opportunities to compete – both at the The Fitness Asylum’s exclusive Bikini & Physique Team Competition, and with other federations. Our own show is slated for October 28, 2023, and we have additional competition dates planned for later in May, as well as June, with several competition opportunities still to be announced.
*Dates subject to change.
