I’m very grateful that I finally made the decision to stop stalking the Fitness Asylum on Facebook and went ahead and dove right into the fall 12 Week Body Challenge. My youngest daughter was nearing the age of 2, and I had no desire to continue being unhappy and unhealthy carrying around the extra weight any longer.
I knew what I was signing up for as I have had friends who have completed not only the body challenge but the bikini challenge as well. I wanted to not only finish, but to completely kick ass and do it for myself! I needed the accountability to keep my eating in check, I knew what I was supposed to be eating but I couldn’t get out of my own damn way and actually do it.
I used to always work out at home because it was what I could manage to fit into my schedule at the time. The problem with that is that I could stop my workout or be completely half assed about it and nobody was around to encourage me to push myself further. This is where the bootcamps were phenomenal, you are surrounded by people who cheer you on when you think you just can’t get in those last few reps.
I lost 21 lbs and two pants sizes when the challenge completed. However, I’ve gained muscles, more confidence and a few new friends! Ultimately I’m most thrilled with the fact that I am still eating to fuel my body and not consuming crap food….because when you eat like crap you feel like crap. #truestory
Thank you Bonnie Lefrak and The Fitness Asylum – Boylston for welcoming me into the FAmily 💪🏽💪🏽
