I have always thought of myself as a physically fit person. I went to the gym or worked-out at home at least 6 days a week. I tried to eat good, I cut out the white bread, pasta and rice from my diet. Then I found Fitness Asylum through family (gotta love FAmily, right!) I started out just doing bootcamps and was hooked. They kicked my ass, but in a good way. I even started to see some definition in my arms! The instructors were awesome, welcoming and so knowledgeable in what they were teaching, always giving me great feedback regarding form, etc. Then I kept hearing a buzz about challenges and my interest was peaked, I am always up for a challenge. I never thought of myself as competitive but I found out likewise. I joined the 6 week Holiday Challenge thinking easy peasy, weighed in and thought I got this I don’t even have to try. WRONG! I actually gained weight during this challenge, but it motivated me to continue on and do the 12 week Winter Challenge. I followed the letter of the law for this challenge, ate the right food, had my blinders on, kept it simple, always logged in MFP and after two weeks I had lost almost 10 pounds. I was like holy WOW!, I had already exceeded my goal I set and we still had 10 more weeks to go, so I re-adjusted and set a new goal and met it! I lost 17.90 pounds. I am beyond thrill and amazed at the results I received and I will be continuing my journey at the Fitness Asylum because it has just started!
