I started out with the Fitness Asylum doing the Holiday Challenge back in 2014. While my friend went on to do the body challenge, I wasn’t quite ready to commit and I went with the boot camp only option. While I was going to a few boot camps a week, I did not change my bad eating habits and continued to gain weight as I watched in envy as my friend was shedding pounds!
By the summer of 2015 I was at my heaviest. I hated my body and was ashamed at how far I let myself go. I decided it was time to commit myself to a change. Being a very “all or nothing” type person, while also loving the idea of getting all glitzed and glammed for stage, I opted to join the Bikini Challenge. By following the 12 week program I was able to lose 29 pounds and felt great on stage! I knew right away I wanted to do another show so I signed up for the Spring Bikini Challenge!! After another 12 weeks of hard work and dieting, I was down a total of 42 pounds and never felt better!!!
I know it’s cheesy but I’m going to say it anyway; by losing the weight, I gained back my confidence. I can now say I love my body and what I have learned about myself as a person. Through this process I learned what the word discipline truly means, and that I have plenty of it!! I love how easy Bonnie’s program is to follow. There’s no guesswork or need to calculate while giving you the freedom to eat the foods you enjoy, something very important for a picky eater like myself! I highly recommend the program for anyone who wants to see what they are capable of achieving when they dedicate themselves and are given the tools needed to succeed.
