Michelle Tremblay | The Fitness Asylum

Michelle Tremblay

I joined the Fitness Asylum in September of 2014 for the 12 Week Fall Body Challenge. I was in a rut and had been avoiding getting on the scale for months! I knew I needed a change and enjoyed working out, but needed nutritional guidance. I lost 15lbs my first challenge and I was hooked, not only to the program, but also to the support and accountability (i.e. the weekly weigh ins, as I was a self proclaimed ‘scale avoider’ I didn’t even own a scale until recently).

With my 30th Birthday coming up, this past January I signed up for the Bikini Boot Camp, and got on stage in May, just 5 days after my 30th Birthday. I wanted to start my 30’s with something memorable and a little crazy, and wearing a coral rhinestone bikini and 5 inch clear heels certainly fit the bill. I had only worn a bikini in public one time in my life and have never been comfortable being the center of attention. Walking across the stage on competition day, and having the support of the Fitness Asylum team and the guidance of Bonnie was such a great experience. I’m so glad I did it and I have memories that will last a lifetime.

As of the morning of the Bikini Competition I was down 53lbs from my first day at the Fitness Asylum. Losing weight and living a healthy lifestyle is great, however the supportive community of people at the Fitness Asylum is what has kept me there. I’ve learned that investing in yourself is the best investment you’ll ever make, and I urge you to find out for yourself.
