The Spring Bikini Challenge was just what I needed to get my ass back into gear. My weight is something that I have always struggled with. In the beginning of high school, my weight peaked at just over 200lbs. I never played sports and always just ate whatever food was easily available at home. I don’t remember what motivated me, but I lost 50lbs within a year or two of high school just by taking on a more active lifestyle. Since then, my weight has always been up and down. I’ve always stayed pretty active, but my eating habits were never the best.

Since joining FA over 3 years ago, I’ve watched so many women complete this challenge and would become envious of their transformations. But year after year, I always told myself that I don’t have the time to commit to successfully complete this challenge or the will power to follow through with it. After watching my weight slowly creep up again last summer and fall, I decided that NOW was finally the right time to take the plunge and stop making excuses and finally commit. 16 weeks later and 37lbs lights, I’m thankful I did!

These past 16 weeks has not only taught me about a healthy lifestyle, but also taught me that I can do whatever I set my mind to! The support and guidance from Bonnie, the other coaches, and all the women on this team is incredible. They are always there to lift you up when you are down or to congratulate you when you hit a milestone. Never in a million years did I think I would have the confidence to get on stage in a bikini. This experience has given me an new outlook on a healthy lifestyle and I’ve become a more confident person. This is one experience that I will definitely never forget. Thank you Fitness Asylum!!!
