I try to emulate all the qualities I like about our classes and my favorite coaches as I client – a challenging set with compound exercises, knowledge and explanations of why we’re doing specific movement, and a genuine energy to keep everyone motivated.
Why I love being a coach at The Fitness Asylum:
Transitioning from a client to a coach has given me an appreciation for how hard you work in our classes. I know what it’s like to have a not-so-great workout and what it’s like to have an awesome workout, and the feeling of accomplishment when you’re done. As a coach, seeing that look of accomplishment on clients’ faces at the end of the workout makes me really happy.
Favorite music to workout to:
Really loud rap
Favorite clean eats:
I keep this simple – lots of healthy carbs, all the vegetables, good seafood
Favorite not so clean eats:
A meal that begins with a cocktail and ends with flourless chocolate cake
I graduated valedictorian of my high school class, but I can’t for the life of me do simple addition of reps in the gym
