Transformation Winner Nancy Cronin

Note from Bonnie:

The Ultimate Body Challenge is all about making permanent, positive lifestyle changes.
And for anyone who has ever lost weight only to regain it knows that the ART of weight loss maintenance
is practicing the same things that got you the loss to begin with.
Permanent change comes over time, and not in 12 weeks or even 12 months.

Our program is geared towards not only losing the weight (be it 10,20 50+ lbs) but MOST IMPORTANTLY
we work with you long term on fine tuning the skills you need to maintain your loss.

Even if you "know what to do", getting the coaching, community support, mentor-ship,
and accountability will be the tools to help you in this life long journey.

(she wrote this last week after being the overall winner for our 1st week weigh in):

Wow is right!! I never thought I would EVER be the overall winner – again! I began my journey on April 9, 2012.

I weighed in at 193.6 lbs ~ I will never forget that number! It scared me. But, then I committed myself to Bonnie.

I committed to staying on the plan, weighing in and working out at least 2-3 times per week.

When I thought of cheating or skipping a workout I said to myself “NO EXCUSES”. I’m proud to say I lost 40 lbs my first challenge.
Signed up for the summer and fall challenge and lost another 30 lbs. Total Weight Loss is 70 lbs :) and it feels SO GOOD!

I was able to maintain my weight loss through the winter. By March (after my vacation) I found the sugar monster was back and getting stronger!
I started feeling sluggish and my heartburn was back :( . So here I am! Back, feeling stronger, sexier, and HEALTHIER!
Trust me that feeling is so much better than anything the scale says…
Truth is the number on the scale can change in a minute. Really!

At first, I felt bad about being the overall winner. I felt bad because I gained the weight in the first place.
But, I had time to think about it and now I say YIPPEE! I’m not perfect. Yes; I gained weight but I’m back on track feeling stronger & healthy.

Bonnie, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again and again – and again.
You saved my life! I’m 52 years old and feel stronger than I have ever in my life~ someone asked me last week what clicked for me.
What inspired me to make the change?
I lost my mom to heart disease. She was only 61 years old. That could have been my destiny but I found you!

Congratulations to all the weight loss this week! It has been great meeting all the challengers!
A big shout out to my mentor, my coach, my friend Martie Porter! I love how she cares about each and every one of us!

Note from Bonnie:

I hope this message from Nancy inspires you as much as it did me and all the
Team Captains and Instructors at The Fitness Asylum.

If you are ever wondering why continue with The Body Challenge - now you know why.
Weight loss management is the same process as weight loss.

We all need coaching, community and to work on our accountability.
There is no shame in needing help- we all need it, want it and deserve it.
It's a process.

Let me know how you are doing or any thoughts you might like to share.
I always want to hear from those who have decided to practice on their own.
